Short Term Housing
Sunrise Mission provides short term (90 day) housing for individuals and families struggling with homelessness.
While at Sunrise Mission, Guests work toward accessing services and locating transitional housing as a pathway to housing stability.
Community Connections
During their time at Sunrise Mission, staff members assist Guests by providing applications from our community partners such as NEMCSA, MSHDA, Alpena Housing Commission, and apartment and housing agencies. In addition our MI Bridges Navigators may be able to help update information, seek identification, and apply for services.
Case Management
Case Management is mandatory at Sunrise Mission. Our trained staff members help Guests identify needs and locate appropriate service providers. We walk with our Guests and help them move toward their personal goals - including employment, housing independence, or other services.
A Hope and A Future
At Sunrise Mission we gratefully proclaim our salvation through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
We believe that our merciful God has a plan to give His children hope and a future through His Son, Jesus.
We do not require our Guests to share our faith, but offer Christ- centered counseling, groups, and fellowship for those who wish to participate.
